The Haddon Heights Fire Department in Camden County New Jersey has recently received a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT with a 54ft Squrt. Squrt 2-1 is a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 gpm pumper with a 500 gallon water tank. The new Pierce is powered by a Caterpillar 485 hp motor paired with Allison Transmission. Other features include a climate controlled cab with roll over protection and seating for 6 firefighters,Pierce Tac 4 suspension , a 10,000kw Harrison Hydraulic Generator and a Whelen LED lighting package. The 54 ft Squrt was removed from a 1986 Pierce that served Barnsboro NJ and the boom was then refurbished by Pierce and mounted on the new chassis. This unit replaces a 1975 American LaFrance RM ladder. Haddon Heights Fire Department would like to thank Cherry Hill Fire Department Motor Maintenance for their work to remove the boom from the 1986 Pierce. The new Pierce was sold by Ed Miller Fire and Safety Services.
